A typical program of entertainment will include songs made famous by favourite singers of yesteryear such as Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and Tony Bennett and by modern day stars like Harry Connick Jr, Robbie Williams, Jamie Cullum and Michael Bublé.

Great singer-songwriters such as Billy Joel, Elton John, Neil Diamond and Lionel Richie also feature amongst the various contemporay love songs and ballads that Easy Livin' perform in their live shows.

Easy Livin' can set up and perform at any kind of venue indoors or outdoors. Their digital piano, lighting rig and compact PA system will fit neatly into any size room or marquee.

 

Cliff Levene is primarily a Jazz and Swing vocalist, heavily influenced by the great legendary singers of the Swing Era, such as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Tony Bennett. Cliff is equally adept at singing contemporary ballads by legendary singer-songwriters such as Billy Joel, Neil Diamond and Elton John, along with smooth Jazz numbers and Soul tracks. His vast experience includes singing and recording with various bands over the years, including more recently with the Freddy Woods’ Big Band and Andy Walker’s “Walkin’ Shoes” Jazz Quartet. Cliff's life-long passion for singing combined with his admiration and respect for great songwriters past and present is apparent from his interpretations of their songs.

 

Mark Reeves is a versatile classically-trained pianist whose influences include many of the great piano masters such as Dave Brubeck, Bill Evans and Oscar Peterson. Mark has many years of experience playing various styles of music from Jazz and Swing, Pop and Rock to Classical and Ragtime. He has performed and recorded with numerous pop, rock, jazz, dance and concert bands, as an accompanist for instrumentalists and singers and continues to perform as a solo pianist at weddings and other private functions. Mark also gives private piano and keyboard tuition and somehow manages to find time to write and arrange music for various other projects.

 

For a Champagne Drinks Reception, Easy Livin' will provide the perfect kind of live Background Music that will be unobtrusive enough to enable guests to mingle and chat.

The combination of live vocals with live piano accompaniment will also create an ambient musical backdrop to enhance any Wedding Breakfast or Wedding Anniversary Dinner Party.

Pre-recorded background music can be provided during rest-breaks between sets and can even be programmed in advance to include some of your favourite songs.

How long do you play for at a wedding receptions and wedding anniversary dinner functions?

At wedding receptions and wedding anniversary dinner functions we usually perform a 3 hour program which consists of 3 x 45 minute sets with a 15 minute rest break in between each set.

Our wedding anniversary party venue doesn't have a piano so will we need to hire a piano?

We will provide all the equipment we need for your wedding anniversary party music, including an electronic piano, stereo sound system and small lighting rig, so we'll just need access to a mains power supply.

Can we hire you as a wedding singer and pianist for our civil ceremony?

A wedding singer and pianist will add a very special touch to your wedding ceremony. Any of the songs in our repertoire (see the repertoire section) are suitable for use at a civil wedding ceremony. Music that has a religious content is not allowed.

Can you provide music during breaks in the evening's entertainment at our anniversary dinner?

During rest breaks Easy Livin' will provide pre-recorded music suitable for a wedding reception, anniversary dinner, engagement party, birthday party or corporate function, so there's no need to bring your own music, cd player or ipod or other type of mp3 player.

How much room will you need, as the room we're hiring for our wedding reception isn't very big?

The equipment we use is very compact and as Easy Livin' is a piano and vocal duo as opposed to a band as such, we can fit everything into a fairly small area, requiring just enough floor space for two people.

How much do you charge for providing live entertainment at a wedding reception?

As Easy Livin' is a piano and vocal duo our fees are less than what you'd expect to pay for a wedding band consisting of more than two musicians. But because every event is different and the entertainment is tailored to suit your requirements, the fees for hiring our wedding duo are calculated accordingly and are therefore available on request. Can we ask you to sing any special requests during our wedding breakfast?

Requests for a specific song or songs of a particular artiste are welcome, subject to them being of a similar genre to the rest of the program and whether or not suitable piano and vocal arrangements can be obtained or written in time for your wedding reception.

We're getting married next year, how much notice do we need to allow to book your piano and vocal duo to play at our wedding reception?

It's best to make a firm booking as soon as possible, as most weddings and other special events occur on Fridays and Saturdays which get booked up well in advance. Also, by booking early the fee for your live wedding entertainment will be fixed at the price quoted and secured by your deposit that you paid at the time.

Can you provide dance/disco music for the latter part of the evening's entertainment at our wedding anniversary?

Yes, to save you the extra cost of hiring a separate dj we can provide dance music to continue the evening's entertainment after our live show.

How many songs will I need to choose for you to perform at my civil wedding ceremony?

The usual format is to have background music playing as guests are seated just before the civil wedding ceremony (preludal music), then music to announce the arrival of the Bride and her procession, possibly a song between readings, there's usually time for two songs during the signing of the register, then exit music for the Bride and Groom and possibly some music as guests are leaving.

Can you perform as a wedding singer and pianist at my civil ceremony and drinks reception which are being held outdoors?

Wedding ceremonies and drinks receptions are often held outdoors and provided there is shelter from the sun and rain, performing outdoors at weddings and wedding anniversary functions is no problem. We just need access to a mains power supply for our digital piano and sound system.

As well as a wedding singer and pianist can you also provide traditional wedding music for our civil wedding ceremony?

Live piano music (in classical, jazz or pop styles) can be played at your civil wedding ceremony, which will be much more effective and personal than playing a CD, especially for the Bride's arrival and procession. Piano music is also perfect for creating the right atmosphere as guests arrive and take their seats before the start of the wedding ceremony.
